Lofoten Panorama

Apartment number 4 was spacious, bright, and cozy, with large rooms and plenty of windows. From the dining room, which sits at a corner of the apartment, we could see the small, cute harbor and the distant mainland mountains across a 180° view. It also opens onto a huge sea-facing balcony with a big table and chairs. The main bedroom is one level up and has another lovely balcony with the same view, which you can enjoy right from bed. The interior felt modern and calm, with warm wood, high-quality finishes, and floor heating that you can adjust in each room. Beds and sofas were close to Ikea type, brand new, and comfortable. The kitchen and silverware were plentiful, varied, and functional. We couldn't find a potato peeler or juicer, but I'm sure the owners would have provided them if we'd asked. We stayed at Lofoten Panorama for five days and had a wonderful time. The owners were very kind and made check-in and check-out simple, and did their best to help during our visit. They even lent us their own ropes for rock climbing. Stamsund is a quiet little town with its own supermarket and ski lift, and it's not far from Leknes, where you can get everything you need. There's a hike right from the village up to the peaks above town and the surrounding lakes. It's steep and exposed in places, but the 360° views are amazing. Sea scooters are available to rent. We didn't use them with our youngsters, but exploring the sea around Stamsund with them probably would be fun and unforgettable. If something could be added, the owners might consider a sauna in the apartment. For foreigners, Norway sometimes brings to mind a “sauna and cold bath combo”...
