It’s a basic place, but good enough for a short stay. We spent three nights here, and some rooms are quite small while others are okay. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and gave us tips on food and northern lights. The location is pretty good too, uphill but still close enough to the city centre.

Enter Backpack Hostel is a good choice in Tromsø. The staff were super friendly and helpful, and there’s a nice, spacious shared kitchen. Coffee and tea are available in the Living Room, which was great after a cold night chasing northern lights. Our room was small but cozy and clean, and had a private bathroom. Parking was easy to find and cheaper than elsewhere in Tromsø, and we reserved a spot in advance. Thanks to Enter Backpack Hotel for taking care of us on our last night in Tromsø ☺️

Luca was really helpful with my bags when I arrived and again when I left, and even offered to get me a cab. The hotel is right by the city center, with the bus station for airport trips just a short walk away. At the front desk, they have things like hair dryers and winter hats, plus drinks and cookies in the lounge. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Tromso.

We had a room for three that was pretty tiny, but it was clean and welcoming, and they were very accommodating. There’s a full kitchen on the first floor, and guests can help themselves to coffee, tea, and cookies in the lounge. Great hotel and exceptional service, I’d definitely recommend it.

Good view from the window, and the room was very clean and suitable for backpackers. The shared washrooms and showers were fine, and towels were provided. The lighting in the room could be better.
