Yuria and Man, thank you for taking such good care of us. The food was all fresh and natural, and dinner and breakfast were especially great. Your kindness made us feel looked after during our sabbatical. You were incredible. Please stay in touch if you come to South Korea.

I’m traveling by motorcycle with my father, and this hotel was absolutely a must for us. The views are breathtaking, especially from the sauna, where the mountains and rolling clouds kept drawing my attention. It was hard to leave. The beautiful food, location, and service all added to an experience I won’t forget. Inside, the hotel takes you back to simpler times. It’s a true hidden gem. Big thanks to the team, and hats off to the chef!

The road noise was a real problem for us. We always sleep with the windows open, and if we’d known our double room with a mountain view also faced the E16, we wouldn’t have booked it. Booking.com showed a road-noise warning for the economy room, but the warning should have been included in the description of the room we chose. The staff member said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing she could do. There were only light curtains, so I didn’t fall asleep until after midnight, and the bed creaked whenever I moved. I’d read so many positive reviews before booking, but I left with a bad impression. During our Norway trip, I’d felt people cared a lot about making the areas around their houses beautiful. That wasn’t the case here. The garden and the view outside seemed neglected, with just one flower by the main doors.

We meant to stay just one night, then decided to extend so we could enjoy the kitchen and sauna. That turned out to be very worthwhile. The kitchen rose to our challenge of a vegetarian three-course menu and did a great job. Most ingredients came from the hotel’s own garden or were grown nearby. Their quality and flavor were top class, and the kitchen’s talent made the dinner amazing. We won’t forget it soon. The hotel itself is cosy and nice, with a classic Norwegian style. And that sauna view... do I really need to say more?
