There’s room to find a quiet reading spot on either level of the tall cabin, with a bit of privacy without feeling shut away. We were thrilled with our stay. The porch wraps around with nearly 360-degree views, so you can follow the sunshine or get out of it. The kitchen has everything, including a dishwasher, and there’s plenty of parking. The wood-fired sauna and long, warm pool were great, and the pool is actually long enough for a swim. Plenty of hiking and off-road driving nearby, but bring a G-Class, unimog or Defender. The rough tracks aren’t for SUVs…😎

Make time for a chat with the owners, they’ve got plenty of good stories. The rooms and kitchen are great, too. What an amazing place on Earth.

Loved the food, it was fantastic and unlike anything else. The attention to detail really stood out. It’s boutique luxury in the middle of nowhere, pure Norway.

We stayed here with a group a year ago and had a fantastic time. It’s wonderfully quiet, with a perfect view of the lake. The house is beautiful and the setting is lovely. There’s a large terrace with a grill, a fire pit by the lake, motorboat rides, a sauna and a small pool. The property manager/landlord was very friendly and helpful, and always available whenever we needed them. Couldn’t have been better.
