The sea views and peaceful setting made our stay memorable, and the price felt very fair for what we got. We had three separate rooms at Vestavind Hytter og Rom AS in Flem, and the place was so clean, calm, and welcoming that it felt like home. Iris, the owner, was especially kind, elegant, and professional, and her warmth really stayed with us. We’d happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The owners were incredibly kind and did more than expected to make us comfortable. It’s very quiet by a lovely beach, with a full kitchen, a great shower, and WiFi that works best in the common area. The beds are on the small side, but really comfortable. This is a great option near Alesund (Vigra) airport, though I wouldn’t choose it if I wanted to stay near Alesund/downtown. We had a rental car, so getting into Alesund was quick and easy; I don’t think it would be as simple without one. You can also request an airport taxi for a reasonable price, about $15 US dollars when we went.
