Mahamanjushree Homestay

My stay at Manjushree Hotel had some good points, but quite a few things made it difficult. The staff were friendly and generally responsive when I raised concerns, and the location was good. Still, finding the hotel among the buildings was tricky because the sign is tiny and the facade doesn’t really look like the listing. I wasn’t told ahead of time that my room had a shared bathroom, and the online description didn’t make that clear. I also found leftover food in the bed. The staff tried to address the cleanliness problem, but the housekeeping was not acceptable. There was no food or drink available, even to buy, and I wasn’t given a bill for my stay. The online booking price also came with a significant service charge I hadn’t expected. I’d suggest making all charges clear upfront, describing the bathroom setup accurately, improving cleaning, offering basic refreshments, and giving guests proper bills. These are my own experiences, and other guests may have a different one.

The owner was especially friendly and helpful, and we could refill our bottles with filtered water. The room was spacious, clean, and close to the old city. We also enjoyed the delicious local food, all at an affordable price. We loved our one night here and would have stayed longer. We’d come back. Thank you ♥️

Such a peaceful spot, good for resting a few hours or staying the night. No crowds or disturbances 😄

The rooms are simple, and the Wi-Fi ranged from okay to very good. Breakfast was fine, though I could have eaten more. The shower was warm, reaching a maximum of 31°C on one of the two days. Check-in needs work: nobody was there to welcome me or explain how to get into the room.
