River Fun Beach Resort

The pool, play area, and adventure activities are really what make this place, and I had a great time at River Fun Beach Resort. I was there on a rafting tour booked through another company. We stopped for lunch while rafting, then returned for dinner, stayed overnight, and had breakfast before leaving. The buffet was delicious, home-cooked tasting, and filling. After two or three plates, I was very happy and full. The rooms were roomy enough, had private bathrooms, and the bed was comfortable. I slept well. You can hear trucks on the far side of the river, but I found that sound nice to fall asleep to, and it reminded me how lucky I was to be in beautiful Nepal. The facilities were great for families and travelers, and I also tried the zipline, which was so much fun. Definitely recommend it. Everyone was friendly, including one of the owners, Sachin, who was there and checked that things were going well. The staff clearly put effort into making guests comfortable and serving good food at a good price. I’ve seen negative reviews, but the resort is clear that it isn’t a five-star luxury place, and that isn’t what it claims to be. It’s a riverside fun resort where you can enjoy nature and relax. In New Zealand, where I’m from, family holidays like camping, meeting people, and making memories are a tradition. For this kind of place, it’s actually quite upmarket. The pool, play area, and activities are the main draw. If you’re after a fun time, lovely people, and wholesome food, I highly recommend River Fun Beach Resort. Thanks for having me 🙏🏻 x

There’s plenty to do here, and the food is really tasty. The pool is nice, too. The rooms are okay, and the place itself is amazing.

The pool was the best part for me, and the food and service were good as well. It’s a friendly spot for kids and a nice place to visit with friends. You can get to a sandy beach, though the lowest section is prone to flooding during monsoon. There’s a pleasant feel to the walk, about 20m south through fields, from the parking area, which could use some renovation. Since the resort is across from the highway, heavy vehicles bring some dust and noise. Still, it’s a good place to go.

We were uncomfortable at meals because there was no menu and we were told only buffet was available. The receptionist kept watching how much we ate. When we paid, they charged Rs. 500 per person for simple vegetarian food, which didn’t feel worth the price. They also refused to give us bills for the stay and meals, which seemed unprofessional and suspicious. We visited River Fun Beach Resort on October 26-27, 2025 for rafting and a stay, but it was a very poor experience. The rooms smelled and weren’t maintained well. Check-in was meant to be at 2:00 PM, but we couldn’t get into our rooms until 5:00 PM, after a long journey. The atmosphere was poor, and the hospitality, hygiene, management, and billing transparency all fell short. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing or good-value getaway.
