Hotel Sherpani

I’m back for my second stay, and the rooftop restaurant is still a highlight. Over four days I tried several dishes, and the food was fantastic, with great views across almost all of Kathmandu. The hotel is a little out of town, but that has its advantages, and its own transport can be handy. Rooms are excellent, the hotel is superbly appointed, and the staff are helpful. The wifi actually works.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and there was plenty to choose from on the restaurant’s large menu. Service was top shelf from the lobby all the way up to the rooftop. Amazing place to stay, highly recommend.

The location is gorgeous, and the place feels warm and cozy. Staff were friendly and the hospitality was outstanding. I was impressed by how clean it was and by the food, especially the delicious breakfast. Wishing the team all the best.

The location worked perfectly for me, just a four-minute walk to the monastery where I was studying. My room had new furnishings, a big comfortable bed, and a lovely balcony. It was quiet, and the internet let me get my work done. The shower had great pressure and hot water, which is rare in Nepal. Sonam and Alisha at reception were fantastic, and the housekeeping team had professionalism to match the best five-star places. The rooftop restaurant crew were great too, and the view up there was fantastic. The team took care of everything I needed.
