Machan Country Villa

Our family of 14 spent three days and two nights here, and the service was wonderful from the moment we arrived. About eight people greeted us and helped carry our bags to the five rooms. They were modest in size and clean, though in my opinion some harder to reach areas could use more attention than they get with monthly cleaning. My wife felt the rooms were as good as anywhere else. For being in the middle of Chitwan Nepal, they were as good as you could expect. The pool has no chemicals, which is great, and is emptied and refilled with fresh water every other day. The safari was amazing. Our guide, Amrit, really impressed us. We saw the rhinoceros and the elusive tiger I was hoping for, and he clearly cared about making the trip easier on the animals and their environment. From what we saw, many other jeep drivers weren’t as careful. The Tharu people gave a local performance on our last night, with fire spinning and dancing that got the whole family involved. It was much better than I expected. The food was tasty, and staff even brought meals to the kids when they were exhausted and already in bed. We were treated like guests at a proper resort, and the service and whole trip made this unforgettable. It felt like NATIONAL GEOGRAPHICAL MAGAZINE come to life. Thanks to everyone who helped. We can’t wait to come back!

The staff made the stay for us. Amrit was so knowledgeable and friendly on our jeep safari, nature walk, and boat trip, and the women working at the bar and restaurant were lovely. We also enjoyed delicious meals, including a picnic breakfast during the safari. We stayed in a spacious, clean bungalow with tea and coffee facilities and a nice modern bathroom. The grounds had an outdoor bar, places to sit, and a great pool with pure water and no chlorine. On arrival, we were offered a cool cloth and a welcome drink, a nice first impression. A fantastic experience from beginning to end at Machan Country Villa.

Thanks to Krishala Mahato for guiding my canoe trip so well. She was energetic, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about nature. I enjoyed learning about the surroundings while feeling comfortable and involved throughout. It made my time on the water both memorable and educational.

A peaceful place to properly unwind in Chitwan, away from the usual buzz. If you have 2-3 days to relax among the greenery, enjoy good food, and get excellent service, it’s a great choice. They take care of everything while you just RELAX! Highly recommended.
