The breakfast in the green inner courtyard was especially rich and tasty. We felt at home with the lovely owners, and leaving was hard. Staying in this beautiful old Newari house was one of the best parts of our two-month trip in Nepal.

I’d booked through Expedia months ahead, but when I arrived to check in, they’d given my room to someone else without telling me. I had to find somewhere else to stay on my own late at night, and they didn’t help me find another place. They were completely irresponsible. It was the worst experience I’ve ever had.
