I dropped in for a short break at Durbar Bakery Cafe and had a fresh, delicious slice of Butterscotch Cake with a single shot Americano. It came to just Rs 280, which felt like great value. The cafe was clean and welcoming, and there was a steady flow of people picking up bakery items and even burgers. The owner and staff were all cheerful and exceptionally friendly, which made the visit. It’s a nice spot for coffee and a snack in Lalitpur. Parking can be difficult, so you may need to find a space yourself.

We stayed for two nights at "Durbar Guest House" and would happily return when we’re back in Nepal. It’s a beautiful place in Patan, close to everything, and there’s enough to see and do if you stay longer. Our room was the largest one and had a lovely view of "Sundhara"; it had all the amenities we needed. The family were very friendly, and we received a hospitable welcome. Getting around was easy.
