Rana, who ran the place, had such lovely energy and was always smiling. The room was big, clean, and had a view, and the breakfast spread each morning was amazing. Patan Durba Square is a majestic spot just a five-minute walk away. I really enjoyed my stay and definitely recommend it.

Shakya House was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with friendly, professional staff. Its Lalitpur location was very convenient, and the rates were affordable. I had a great stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for clean accommodation and excellent service.

The owner was kind and accommodating. When some of us found the upstairs rooms too hot, the owner quickly moved us to cooler rooms downstairs. Everyone at Shakya House was humble and kind, and breakfast had a good selection. I had a super comfortable eight-day stay. It’s an eight-to-nine-minute walk from Patan/Lalitpur Durbar Square. The one possible drawback is coming back late: the main door seems to close around 11 or 11:30 pm, so you have to wake the guard if you arrive after that. He never complained, but it doesn’t feel good to wake someone in the middle of the night.

The mountain view was so clear while I was there, and there’s terrace access too. The place was clean and comfortable, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was nice. I’d stay again.
