My stay was perfect and everything felt easy. Jupiter was a very friendly owner. The rooms were big and clean, and everything worked fine. It's tucked into a small lane, about 150 meters from the entry gate for Mayadevitemple. The bus stop is under 100 meters away, with a money changer around 50 meters away. Restaurants, a pharmacy, and mini markets are even closer. There’s a large green courtyard and terraces where you can sit, especially in the afternoon or evening. Jupiter rents bicycles for a fair price. Mayadevi temple is walkable, but you'll need a bicycle for the huge complex with its many temples.

I only got to stay one night, which was a shame, because it was such a good stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and cosy, and there was a hot water shower. The food was delicious and homely. I had the veg curry, banana porridge and masala chai, and all of it was so good. I'd recommend this place to anyone staying in Lumbini! :)

Lumbini Village Lodge is a lovely family-run place to hang out and relax, and it also makes a good base for exploring Lumbini. The owner, Jupiter, has his heart in the right place and is always open to a conversation. I'd recommend a trip to ancient Kapilvastu (Tilaurakot), where the Buddha lived the first 29 years of his life.

The location is ideal for an authentic experience of Lumbini. Jupiter studies Buddhism and practises Vipassana meditation, so he can share a lot of knowledge that helps you really understand this special place. Otherwise, it might not make much sense. I spent the last week of 2025 at Lumbini Village Lodge, and I'm very grateful to Jupiter and his whole family. Lumbini had felt like a dream since my adolescence, and every day in town was special. Everyone at the residence was smiling and willing to help with anything. The banana porridge at breakfast was delicious, and the masala chai was some of the best I've ever tasted. I loved spending my mornings looking out from the restaurant balcony. Thank you, and I hope to come back soon. Be happy =)

A good place near the Lumbini tourist sites, with a good host. Sharmaji is a really nice person. The room was a little dark because of a lighting issue, but otherwise everything was good. You can go up to the roof, and if you're lucky, catch a nice sunset and see the Himalayas.
