We arrived at Peaceful Cottage & Cafe du Mont on 29 May 2026 and left on 30 May 2026, after a very enjoyable stay. We'd booked through Agoda and chosen a balcony room with a nice view. At check-in, the receptionist said that room was occupied, so we were given another one. We were a little disappointed since we'd already paid for the balcony room. The hot water wasn't working at first, and the intercom phone had a problem too. Reception quickly sent a technician, who fixed the hot water line. They couldn't repair the intercom, but staff tried to help and gave us his WhatsApp number to communicate. We really enjoyed the non-vegetarian dinner buffet, then slept comfortably. Early in the morning, the surroundings were quiet, and we enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast, which was very good. At checkout, the receptionist arranged transport for us. We hired a mini Hiace for 4500 Nepali Rupees to get to the Thamel area of Kathmandu. There were a few small problems, but the hotel's atmosphere, food, and staff service made the trip peaceful and memorable. Thanks for the hospitality.

I found out about peaceful cottage from its Google reviews. The staff were kind and really helpful, and I loved the room. Some menu items weren't available, which was a shame because I'd wanted to try them. I'll definitely visit again, and I'd highly recommend the place. Thank you, Peaceful Cottage, for your service.

The mountain views were gorgeous, and it was so quiet with lovely fresh air. I slept really well each night, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. One of them was especially cute! Coming from Canada, I also thought the price was much better than anything back home. I’d been a little concerned after reading some negative reviews, but they seemed old and the place may have improved since then. The only odd thing was how some menu dishes were named: the French onion soup was more like cream of mushroom, the lassie was like a milkshake, and the crêpes were more like pancakes. Still, nothing tasted bad.

We spent our mornings having coffee on the porch and evenings by the fire, and honestly didn’t want to leave. The cottage has lots of thoughtful touches and a really charming interior. From the moment we arrived it felt welcoming, and the calm setting was a great break from everyday noise.

We had a really good weekend here. The rooms were beautiful, and the staff and service were good too. Staying at peaceful was one of our better decisions. Highly recommended for a stay.
