Hotel Namche

We could charge our devices in the room, and the en-suite bathroom had a very hot shower. The Namche Hotel felt like the most Western-style lodging of our whole trek. Our full-sized bed had crisp, clean white sheets, and sliding glass doors opened onto a balcony overlooking the town.

I’ve visited Namche bazaar several times, and Hotel Namche is the best in the area. The rooms are the cleanest, with the hottest showers and the best views from the rooms. The food and service are excellent too.

The staff are so friendly and grateful that you came, like people everywhere in Nepal. We spent two nights here at the start of our trek and one at the end, and after 13 days up high in teahouses, we couldn’t wait to return. The food is great, and you should try the Chicken Chilly. Hot water and excellent laundry service too. This place rocks, stay here!

We were happy to pay $50 a night for a deluxe room at hotel namche. It came with a hot shower, charging, an electric blanket, a hot water kettle, clean sheets and bedding, and towels. Plenty of places cost less, but we were glad not to use our travel towels and loved the electric blankets. The room was well insulated enough that it wasn’t freezing in the morning. We felt warmly welcomed and well treated, just like the large groups staying there. We liked it so much that we booked the same room again for the way back down. Paying by credit card was handy if you want to save your rupees. We hadn’t looked around much after finding it, since it was the nicest place we’d seen.
