Del Mare Park

The water barely worked, and I couldn’t shower for two days. We also had to buy our own toilet paper. When a friend tried to come in to shelter from severe weather, they weren’t allowed inside, which felt unfriendly and unhelpful. The apartment smelled strongly of smoke when I arrived. There was mold in the shower, a dirty toilet, and stained sheets, far below what I’d expect from somewhere claiming to be 5-star. It’s a beautiful complex, but the maintenance is nowhere near an acceptable standard. Be careful before booking. This definitely wasn’t a 5-star experience. Check Google for photos, my experience speaks for itself.

We paid 50 euro for a small, dirty room below the basement level, and there was no service to speak of. There was mold in the shower and a broken door. When we arrived, there was no duvet. After more than half an hour, they brought a dirty, used one. When I pointed that out, he said, “It’s the only one we have.” My colleagues had similar problems, including no hot water, cut wires, and a very slow, unreliable internet connection. They also said the place was 509 mt from the sea, but that can’t be right, it was more than 20 minutes by car. A night here can turn into a vomiting nightmare. Never again.

The room felt and smelled like a nightmare, and I wouldn’t book this place again. Mold was everywhere, the bathroom was rotten, the shower didn’t work, and the sheets smelled awful. The pillows and bedding looked like they hadn’t been changed since the place opened. There were serious safety problems too. The sliding door was broken and wouldn’t close, so anyone could enter the room at any time. Exposed electrical wires were all over the room. There wasn’t a single good thing about this hotel. Save your money and your health.

Please don’t come here. The room was a safety hazard, with mold, stained sheets, boogers on the pillows, and plenty more. We asked for it to be cleaned again, but when we came back the pillows were even dirtier, so we put our shirts over them to sleep. They also take payment before you arrive, so don’t be fooled by the claim that you can pay on the spot. This place is an absolute biohazard.
