I used to call it a great hotel 👌, but a lot has changed. You can’t go swimming at the other hotels now, and they keep asking what room you’re in. We stayed three nights. A visitor couldn’t even sit with us without paying: we paid £70 for one dinner plate, then another £110 for a visitor to be there from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The atmosphere, dealers, and service were all wonderful. Best casino experience 👌.

We made use of all the hotel’s services, and the five of us had a great time, including our three adult kids. There were families with young children there as well. The food was amazing, with an all-inclusive spread and impressive choices for everyone. Loved everything about the hotel, from the service to the amenities. Highly recommend it.

For poker players in Cyprus, Merit Poker made for the best experience I could have asked for. The games are good, people are friendly, and it’s the only poker room that doesn’t allow smoking. Games also get going early, around 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. If you play six hours, including a 45-minute dinner break, they provide free transport and a hotel stay. The buffets at Merit Royal, Diamond, and Royal Premium are extremely varied, and the food is some of the best I’ve had. My requests, including a baby car seat and a room change, were all met or exceeded. The service is unparalleled, and I plan to return for another vacation with Merit Poker. The kids’ zone staff weren’t the best. They do offer nanny service for babies, but at $30 an hour it’s a little pricey. Nothing’s perfect, though. Merit is undoubtedly the best hotel and casino in Cyprus!
