I’m writing because I haven’t heard back from 90 Mile Paradise. We booked four nights over Christmas, but a family emergency meant we had to leave two nights early. My youngest son had a serious accident on Christmas Day and was flown to middlemore hospital in critical condition, so I needed to get to him as quickly as I could. I emailed 90 Mile Paradise on December 30 to ask about a refund for the two nights we couldn’t use. The situation was completely outside our control. The owners had been friendly, so I hoped they might consider refunding those nights as a goodwill gesture. I’ve had no reply or other communication so far, and thought a review might get their attention.

The back room felt unfinished and was very basic compared with other places we’ve stayed. It’s tucked behind someone’s house, and the outside was untidy, with wood and tins of paint around. Parking was difficult. It could use some TLC.

We had a lovely time at this hilltop house on our family vacation. The host kindly offered tea and coffee, and we sorted the rest ourselves. We were up early to get out and enjoy the sea breeze.

We slept really well in the comfortable beds, with the sound of the waves at night. The apartment was cozy, and the view was beautiful. I’d definitely recommend it.
