The location is great, just a stone's throw from the pub and a nice walk to 4 square. The owner was lovely and welcoming. Our room was well equipped, with a spa bath and kitchenette. Wifi was a little average, but the location and customer service more than made up for it.

The host was warm and friendly, but the bed was awful. It sagged badly in the middle and felt well past its useful life, so I got only a few hours of terrible sleep. The room cost far too much for such worn, poor facilities. The night before, we stayed at Lincoln Motel in Lincoln, where the accommodation was cheaper and the facilities were high standard. I couldn't fault it there. I'd suggest staying in Lincoln and making Akaroa a day trip.

Everything I needed was in a lovely, spotless room, and the kitchenette was great. The on-site laundry was handy too. We stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed it.

The staff were friendly, and the rooms were a good size. It's in a building close to central Akaroa, with clean linens and an enclosed shower.

The room was already warm and really cozy when we arrived, and I picked this quiet, lovely motel for the view and creek. The host is lovely too. Shame another guest lit candles on a cake and set off the fire alarm at 8.00am. 😡
