Getting to buses, supermarkets, cafés, takeaways and small restaurants was easy on foot. We stayed during a really busy period, but the rooms were serviced and replenished daily, and the bed was comfortable. I did wish there were a flatter pillow, though, and stepping out of the shower felt incredibly scary. Still, we had a nice stay overall. Thanks for having us.

Getting around was simple, with shops, restaurants and transport links easy to reach from the location. I found the staff warm, professional and genuinely helpful from check-in onward. The room was clean, surprisingly spacious and well appointed, with a comfortable bed and amenities in great condition. It was just what I’d hope for from a 4-star property, and suited either a business or leisure stay. I couldn’t have been happier with the experience.

The owners even gave us a wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful gesture. We weren’t staying there ourselves, but my son was, and he needed a backup venue for his wedding when bad weather ruled out the outdoor ceremony at One Tree Hill. The owners were very accommodating. The food truck could park outside the doors, the sun area was just big enough for the bridal party, and the breakfast room could fit around 50 guests. It turned into a lovely day, and everything fell into place.

Breakfast was excellent, and the hotel was clean, pleasant and affordable. From there it’s a short walk to Remuera rail station, which is handy if you’re in Auckland without a car. There are also parks and some great restaurants nearby.

We arrived in Auckland earlier than planned, and the staff kindly let my wife and me check in a little early. The room was modern, very clean and tidy, and it felt like good value for the money. The location was great too.
