Dukes Midway Lodge

The hosts were friendly, and the room itself was clean. The beds were a good size, and the internet was very cheap, though it kept playing up. The pool was filthy. There were cigarette burns in the curtains, and the laundry room was broken. If I’d known the place was housing homeless people, we wouldn’t have stayed. It might work for a quick stop and sleep, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a holiday.

We were at Dukes for four nights. The owner was incredibly kind and helpful, and the service was amazing. Our room was spacious and very clean. It’s in a great spot and has a really nice feel.

The pool was too gross to swim in, which was disappointing since we chose it for the location and pool. We wouldn’t have booked if we’d known it was emergency accommodation. The outside areas could use a cleanup, and the website photos don’t show the state it’s in now.
