We slept well in the comfortable beds, despite hearing the lifts moving now and then. The city-centre spot is fantastic and was quieter than I expected. The rooms are clean and comfortable, about what you’d expect from a three-star place. I’d come back. They could use mugs instead of the tiny teacups, and a toilet brush in the bathroom. We enjoyed our stay.

The breakfast was a letdown. They offered to get gluten-free bread from the freezer, but the options looked plain and unappealing for the price, so we went to a lovely nearby cafe instead. I’d stay here again, just wouldn’t eat breakfast there. I was in town for work for one night, and the room itself was nice with a big, comfortable bed. It was warm and I couldn’t work out the air conditioning, but a helpful receptionist came up straight away and fixed it. Even at its lowest setting of 18 degrees, the room still felt quite warm. Parking was easy and reasonably priced.

This was our second stay here, right in central Auckland. It’s a no-frills place, but clean and has what you need, and having a breakfast room is a bonus. Everyone on staff was friendly and keen to help. Chef Parmila welcomed us like old friends. We’d happily recommend it.

The central location made it easy to get around, but my experience with the front desk wasn’t good. When we entered the room, it smelled stuffy and made me feel sick. I asked Sabin if he could check whether we might move, and he said there were no rooms available. He didn’t check the room or look into it for us. We arrived from melbourne on 26/12/2025. A few staff members did make our stay more comfortable. Parmila, the chef serving breakfast in the cafe, was a real gem and made my husband and me feel at ease. Abe at reception always smiled and was ready to help whenever I asked. Mehha was also always smiling. Thinking of these three is what puts a big smile on my face when I remember this hotel in New Zealand. Thank you, Parmila, Abe and Mehha. God bless.
