Cockroaches were all over the place when we woke up, even getting into our luggage. The apartment, 5F, was already filthy when we arrived, with greasy handprints on the walls and mould in the shower and around the washing machine. The bed looked as though an elephant had slept on it, and the duvet cover didn’t seem clean. I don’t think it gets washed between guests. We’d booked three nights, but after arriving late we had no choice except to spend that first night there. We quickly found somewhere else, and luckily they let us check in at 7 am the next morning. I tried contacting the owner and got nothing back. This was the worst accommodation experience I’ve ever had, and I don’t think he should be allowed to operate. We’re disputing the charge with booking.com to try to get a refund.

There doesn’t seem to be a way to find the manager’s phone number, though I’d like to talk to them about last night. The girls staying in this apartment were singing and screaming so loudly that people next door could hear them. It was only Tuesday, and the noise was disgusting and inconsiderate. I assume there are teenagers in the building with plenty of energy to yell and sing at night. People should at least keep quiet after 11 pm so the neighbours can sleep.

No toilet paper, sticky floors, and old food left in the cupboards. There was litter all over the roof from the balcony, and the range hood was sitting outside on the deck. The contact person didn’t seem to care. This is easily the worst accommodation I’ve stayed in, and I’ve been in cleaner student housing. The best moment was when we finally left. Avoid this apartment at all costs.

There was rubbish on the balcony and the cover for the extraction fan was sitting out there too. The paint was peeling. We were given used soap, shampoo and conditioner, and there was rotten fruit in a cupboard. No cable TV either. This was the worst I’ve ever seen.
