There's no air conditioning, so some apartments get unbearably hot in summer, and pressure problems in the hallway make doors whistle loudly. The management and maintenance are poor too. Right now only one lift works for 26 floors and more than 250 apartments, which can mean waiting ten minutes just for it to arrive. Yesterday a hot water main burst, and the whole building was evacuated at 9am. Nobody checked whether it was a fire or something else before telling everyone to leave, so people spent an hour and a half standing outside for no reason. Two of the three lifts going up are now out of service. Management still hasn't arranged repairs, even though getting someone out that day should have been urgent. Based on how often lifts break here, I expect it could take days or weeks.

The location is great and the apartment was an okay size, but the noise from a serious water system defect was awful. Whenever neighbours turned on a tap, the pipes made a buzzing or whistling sound, sometimes very loudly. I've never lived in a building with a problem this serious, and it could affect your mental health.

We had great views of the town hall clock tower, Aotea square and the Skytower, all lit up in colourful lights at night. The entrance was clean and modern, and the building is fairly new, only seven years old. Facilities were excellent, including a heated pool, gym and sauna. There's direct access underneath to an authentic Asian and South American food court, with great food, plus loads of nearby restaurants, movies and the Aotea centre. We'd definitely come back.
