That outdoor terrace is genuinely lovely, and the place has potential. The service is enthusiastic, maybe a little too keen since they hover. But the margarita situation needs attention fast. We ordered the “Classic Margarita” from the batched cocktail list. The menu photo promised a chilled drink with a proper salt rim. Instead, both glasses were barely cold and had no ice, one had salt on only part of the rim, and the other had none. They tasted like tequila had barely been mentioned to lime cordial. When we asked what was in them, staff said they weren't really sure and just poured them. Not reassuring. Batch cocktails can be fine when they're done well, but these seemed like they'd been sitting in the machine since the opening ceremony. Serving a warm margarita is a bold choice, and something about the system seems off. My original hope was a chic hotel cocktail moment at the new Radisson Red. What we got was two sad glasses of lukewarm regret. Future visitors can enjoy the terrace and look at the menu photo, but I'd avoid ordering the margarita. 🍸

Loved the rooftop bar, and breakfast was great too. The hotel is centrally located, super clean, and the staff are friendly. Highly recommend.

For the price, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to make my stay a good one. There's a great bar with really nice cocktails, too. I'd stay here every time I'm in Auckland.

We had a family dinner here for our grandson's birthday, and the place was beautiful. Our son dropped us right at the door and parked nearby. It was easy to get in and take the lift, which I think went up to the 15th floor, to the gorgeous restaurant. With its rooftop setting, it'd be fabulous in summer. Our Hostess knew the place from previous visits and ordered the food. Delicious small plates started arriving quickly and kept coming, each one more surprising and tasty than the last. I especially loved the different dumplings and the deep friend chicken balls, so moist inside and crunchy outside. The drinks menu was huge, and the Mocktails I tried were perfect, though I can't remember their names. Service was fast and efficient, always with a smile, and the lovely young staff kept appearing with more plates. We enjoyed the views, the bathrooms were clean and attractive, and the lifts were very fast. Everything was new and shiny. There were tables and chairs at the front, with long tables and bar stools toward the back. Our group of 15 fit easily. Couldn't fault this lovely place.

I spent 9 enjoyable days at this new Radisson Red in downtown Auckland. The location made it easy to walk to the Auckland Harbour front, Sky Tower, Auckland War Memorial Musuem, Auckland Art Gallery, and many other key attractions. My room had modern decor, useful accessories, a comfortable bed, and simple temperature controls. The staff I met were cordial and helpful. Special thanks to restaurant server Mydahl, front desk agent Jeffrey, and Front Office Lead Luminado, who each took the time to acknowledge me as a guest. Highly recommended.
