The Parnell Hotel & Conference Centre

I slept really well in the big, comfortable bed, and my room was very clean. The balcony overlooking the city was a great place for evening drinks, and the city views are amazing. The hotel sits on a hill on a safe, quiet street in the prominent upper-class suburb of Parnell. I’d highly recommend it. Parking is free, and there’s no damage deposit or bond, unlike many inner-city accommodation providers. That leaves more of your money for exploring or eating out. There’s a restaurant on site with a delicious full buffet breakfast. You can buy AT hop cards here, and Parnell Train station is just down the road, making it easy to get into the city. Plenty of food places and beautiful rose gardens are nearby too. The one issue was that staff asked me twice to pay for the room even though I’d already paid. Their computers should clearly show when a customer has settled the bill. I’d definitely stay again.

Loved the little balcony in the evening, and the meals were great. The staff were smartly dressed and very helpful. It was my first stay, and I couldn’t fault anything. I’ll stay again. Thank you The Parnell Hotel.

Dinner at gladstone was a nice extra, and I had a perfect view of the sky tower, so I got to watch the fireworks on NYE. Parking was easy, with no driving round and round to find a spot. It was my first time booking here and I loved it. The room had everything I needed and was cozy and comfortable. They’d left milk and tea, which was lovely. The shower was amazing, with great pressure. I’d totally stay again. Thank you so much.

The location was the only real positive. It felt safe and was close to restaurants. Our two-bedroom unit, though, was old and smelled musty. We had to dash to the nearest Woolworths for a room freshener just to get through three days. The place was very basic and nothing like the photos suggested. The bathroom was decent, but its mirror was on the side wall instead of in front of the basin, and the window was above the basin. I wouldn’t recommend it. Poor value.
