VR Queen Street - Hotel & Suites

For the price, the quality was really good. We had a superior room, and it was spotless, well kept, and very well equipped, with an oven, small dishwasher, table, and fridge. Everything worked. The bed was extra-large and comfortable, so it was a very pleasant stay.

The breakfast was simple but good enough, and the only real nuisance was the fridge noise. It wasn’t much of an issue once we shut the bedroom door. Our room was clean and roomy, with a bedroom, living area, and small kitchen. The staff were lovely. I especially liked the teddy bear receptionist who checked us in, always friendly and smiling. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel is close to K Road. We’re glad we picked it.

The breakfasts were really tasty, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to the city center, and the hotel is nice. Maybe it doesn’t quite reach European four-star standards, but it’s still very good for the price. I’d definitely recommend it :)

We left a couple of things hanging in the wardrobe, and I know it was our mistake to leave them behind. But when we called several times, the hotel kept promising to get back to us and never did. We went back a few days later and waited before someone brought out old, worthless clothes that weren’t ours, even though we’d clearly described our belongings. Reception wasn’t much help. They said housekeeping often doesn’t notice things left in rooms and that the guest turnover meant there was nothing they could do. I don’t understand how our items could disappear so quickly without explanation, or why the hotel offered so little help.
