Andy and Jacqui were what made our stay so memorable. They were warm and accommodating, and knew a lot about the South Island, including places we hadn’t visited yet as well as things to do around Punakaiki. Breakfast was an amazing spread, and they sat and chatted with us while we ate. I miss them already! The Hide and Seek gets my highest recommendation. Our room was roomy and recently renovated, with a great coastal view from the balcony. The location was good too, just uphill from the main road and about a five minute drive from Punakaiki.

Andrew and Jacquie made us feel very welcome, and the place was spotless. Set on a rural hilltop, it has spectacular ocean views. I’d highly recommend a stay at the Hide and Seek.

The family were lovely and very helpful, and breakfast was amazing. It’s a cozy, stylish room on a hill overlooking the sea. I really recommend staying here.
