We arrived on Friday in the late afternoon after a long seven-hour drive. Martin greeted us and was very friendly, and the room itself was excellent. But Martin and his wife had friends over and partied with very loud music until 1:30 a.m. We'd paid for a room to sleep in and couldn't sleep. I told Martin when he asked that the noise was too loud and had kept me awake until 1:30. He said sorry, but didn't offer a refund. They shouldn't rent the room to paying guests if they're planning a loud party. It's a shame, because the room was nice, but the stay was terrible.

We loved our stay and will definitely return next time we're in the area. Martin and Angela are lovely, laid-back owners, and the rooms are cosy and well maintained. The grounds are clean, and the shared kitchenette for the three rooms is a great place to meet other guests and get local information. It's a real gem just outside Cambridge.

The surroundings are very nice, in a semi-rural area, and the accommodation is of a very good standard. The kitchen and dining area are shared, which works well because cooking and food smells stay out of the bedroom.

My family and I stay at Martins every year, and he's the best host ever. We always look forward to coming back that time of year to enjoy the surroundings and the pool.
