Parking was handy, and the room itself was spacious with a comfortable bed, so it worked well for a short visit. The bathrooms were small and not very clean. We got in late just to sleep and left early, so we never used the kitchen.

There was plenty of parking and the staff were fine. For a basic overnight stay, the price was the cheapest around the area and the place was liveable if you're not fussy. The basin and shower room were tiny, and things looked old and short on maintenance. The mattress sagged, and a darker curtain would help. I didn't hear noise from the backpacker flat.

The manager was especially kind and helpful when our car had problems. He got involved right away, worked out what was wrong, and helped us get it started again. The room was clean, and the bathrooms and kitchen were cleaned daily. Based on our stay, the cleanliness issue in other reviews seems more down to guests not cleaning up after themselves than the hotel. We had a great stay and would give it five stars.

There are good leisure areas, the location is great, and the service was good. The building really needs renovation, particularly the bathrooms. The shower had a terrible smell, like something had died beneath the drain, and the rooms could use more heating options.
