8/10
The car park filled up quickly, so it was a bit tricky to find a space. Apart from that, the room was really good for what we paid and the location was super convenient. The receptionist was lovely too, very kind and attentive, which made the stay even better.
4/10
The location was okay, and it was handy having a bus stop right at the motel gate. The staff were friendly, but not especially helpful. We couldn't understand what was "deluxe" about the deluxe studio, and the sofa bed wasn't very comfortable for the price. We had to go to reception to get a cooking plate, though nowhere said that, and the pan was so bad it was hard to cook with. The washing machine was filthy and our clothes came out dirtier than before. We ended up washing them by hand, then drying them on a line that was dirty too, leaving a black stripe on the clothes. There are probably better options in Christchurch.
8/10
The rooms are older, but clean and spacious, and parking is included. We had fun getting around on Lime scooters, especially since it’s such a short trip into the city. A perfect spot for a stop close to town.
10/10
It was an easy 10-15 minute walk to town, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was a good size, with a great heater in the bedroom/lounge and bathroom. Off-street parking was easy too.
10/10
We got a room upgrade, which was really nice, and the receptionist I spoke to was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, tidy, and had what we needed. Great spot in town, close to bars, restaurants, and the city centre. I'd definitely stay here again!
