538 Great King Motel

My toddler hid the pen, so I couldn’t write the review I wanted in the guest book 😂. My whānau and I had an amazing stay, though. Everyone we dealt with, from reception to housekeeping, was welcoming and kind. Our warm, clean one-bedroom apartment had everything we needed. We enjoyed the Sky TV, and the heated bathroom tiles were a bonus. We were in room 201 from 26th-28th Sept. Thank you!

Good value for what you pay. We had a newly renovated, clean studio. The rooms are very small, but fine if you just need somewhere to sleep for the night.

A comfortable, warm stay in a huge, well-insulated room with a very large bathroom. Most of the place is carpeted, but the kitchen tiles are quite cold, so bring slippers. The reception staff were nice, there’s plenty of parking, and a lift serves the upper floor. It’s wheelchair friendly. Take care when cooking anything with a strong smell. They may charge the cost of one night if they can’t get rid of the odour.

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the manager made us feel welcome when we arrived. We had off-street parking and stayed in a quiet upstairs unit. The decor was smart and in very good condition, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was great, and the cooking facilities were good. There’s a lift to the first floor, too. Town is an easy, level walk of about three blocks. The cafe next door does excellent coffee, cinnamon scrolls and pies. The other food looked good as well. I’d stay again.
