Aurora is a motel, which is what you get with some places in NZ. It was fine for a short stay, with friendly staff and a good location about 5-10 minutes on foot from the town centre. The room was a little small, one bedside lamp didn’t work, and there was no air conditioning. I guess Dunedin doesn’t get hot.

I stayed here twice over two weeks and enjoyed both visits. The rooms were lovely, clean and warm, and the facilities were great. It was close to my destination, Dunedin Hospital. The hosts were friendly and diligent, and I’ll stay again. I’ve already been recommending the place to my friends.

The room was a 10/10 for comfort and cleanliness, and the staff gave the place a lovely warm, friendly feel. It was easy to find, with parking on site and a great location. The Thai restaurant was a 10 too. Get the Lemongrass Chicken.

Great service, and the clean, modern rooms were hard to fault. It’s well located for the CBD and university. I’d definitely stay here again.
