We booked in a hurry and didn’t have much time to look around, but booking and check-in were both easy. The bedding was great, and the super king bed was like a cloud. One curtain had a blood smear on it, though, and the one by the kitchen was heavily mouldy. Other guests parked outside our room and talked loudly around 11:30pm and again at about 1am. They weren’t considerate of others, but that wasn’t directly the hotel’s fault.

Everything was clean, and the room came equipped with plates, glasses and other basics, plus a coffee plunger and fresh coffee. The shower pressure was fantastic and the bed was comfortable. The furniture may look a little old for some tastes, but it was quality when new, just a bit faded and not broken or unsightly. Check-in staff were lovely and helpful. Good motel accommodation.

A large, quiet, comfortable room with plenty of space, cleaned daily. We chose the spa and it was lovely, and mostly private, with very little chance of someone seeing you in it. The price was good too. The motel is near town, bus stops and a supermarket, though it’s on a busy road.

We’ve stayed at the Atrium on Ulster a couple of times and really appreciated how friendly and helpful the staff and management are. The rooms are clean, neatly presented and comfortable. It’s also conveniently placed for walking to Waikato Stadium and getting around Hamilton.

The rooms were comfortable, though a little dated. It was a convenient, clean hotel with friendly staff. You can hear the street noise, but it didn’t wake me up once!
