We stayed in the orchard studio for two nights, and Marianne had made it feel like a cozy home. The fridge had everything for two lovely breakfasts. And the welcome brownies were fabulous.

The country views and peaceful setting made this a relaxing base, even though Rotorua was only about 15 minutes away. We spent four days exploring the area from here. Each morning’s breakfast was fantastic, especially Marianne’s fresh yogurt and organic lemon drink, and we enjoyed chatting with her and getting to know the animals. Her friendly cats, Cloudy and Teddy, were there, and Marianne provided food so we could feed the chickens, ducks, bunny, and alpaca. We stayed in the Vintage Room at B&B Blossom Cottage, where the accommodation was lovely. Marianne gave us a warm welcome with fresh brownies and a full binder of local activities and restaurants. She’s a fantastic, warm, and helpful host, and we could tell from the start that the place was special. We’d book here again if we’re back in the area. I’d give it six stars if I could.

The countryside around Blossom Cottage was serene and lovely, and we really enjoyed our time in the Vintage Room. Marianne welcomed us warmly and took great care of us. The room was practical and comfortable, with plenty of hooks, a huge comfortable bed, and a private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. We’d highly recommend staying here.

After busy days going from one Rotorua activity to another, it was lovely to come back to our quiet little cottage and soak in the hot tub. The place is cute, with plenty of space and lots for families with kids to do. Each morning we had farm-fresh eggs, and my daughter got to collect them from the chicken coop, which she thought was very cool. It’s quiet and relaxing, yet only about 15 minutes from the activities. We’ll definitely stay again on our next Rotorua trip.

The owner was so warm and even baked us delicious brownies, which we really appreciated. Everything is beautifully decorated and has a homey feel. There are chickens and alpacas to feed, too. We named the chickens the “crazy chickens”.
