Braemar Lodge And Spa

We picked this lovely Hotel to celebrate finishing our first year of University, and appreciated being allowed an early check in after we'd wrapped up all our activities in Hanmer Springs that day. At reception we were greeted with smiles and lovely service from the kindest lady. We wish we remembered her name, she was awesome. The breakfast buffet had a nice choice of hot dishes and regular breakfast foods. We didn't try the fruit because it didn't look fresh, maybe it had been cut the night before and kept in the fridge. It would've been lovely to have it freshly cut that morning. Our room was big, clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a very comfortable, large bed. The bathroom had a spa bath and a nice shower with two shower heads. The outdoor hottub on our deck was clean and a lovely 40+ degrees after a long day out. A relaxing bit of luxury, highly recommended. It's 12 mins from Hanmer Springs.

I got engaged during our weekend here, and it was such a beautiful place for it. We're looking into Braemar Lodge as a wedding venue for the future. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, the views from our room were outstanding, and the buffet breakfast had delicious food and so much variety. The rooms felt spacious and luxurious. Braemar Lodge was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it. Thanks to the Braemar staff for being top notch!

Breakfast was delicious, the view fabulous, the bathroom luxurious, and the staff friendly. It's a comfortable hotel in a beautiful, peaceful spot, and I'd encourage people to book here. A few maintenance details could make it first class: the balcony needs cleaning and more comfortable furniture, the shampoo dispenser was broken, and the advertised mini bar was missing. There is a comfortable bar area, though. I'm sure the lovely owners will make improvements as more people stay.

The restaurant food was traditional, but we couldn't fault it. The steak was cooked perfectly, the crusted salmon serving was generous, and both came with veges cooked al dente. Breakfast had a good mix of continental and cooked options. We spent a relaxing, lovely 2 nights in a deluxe suite for our honeymoon. The view was gorgeous, the room spacious, the bed so comfy, and the staff super helpful and pleasant.
