Hanmer's Rose

We stayed in a 2 room apartment, and it felt wonderfully roomy. It sleeps 7. No issues here, everything was nice and tidy.

The staff were friendly enough, but the floor in our room was dirty. Good luck getting anywhere with the WiFi, it was extremely slow and kept disconnecting. That was frustrating because I couldn’t call home or stream anything from my phone.

We spent three nights at the Larchwood Motel in Hanmer Springs, and the playground was a big hit with our kids. The rooms had lots of space for our family, and everything was spotless and nicely decorated in a cozy, classic style. The kitchen was well equipped for making our own meals, though plenty of good restaurants are nearby. We also found the motel a great base for long hikes, with the thermal pools just a stone’s throw away. After exploring the area, it was lovely to relax in the rooms. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful, and keen to make our stay pleasant. We’re looking forward to coming back, and can wholeheartedly recommend the Larchwood Motel.

We stayed over Easter and really enjoyed the festive atmosphere in Hanmer Springs. Larchwood Motel made a great base for our activities, with scenic forest trails and hiking tracks nearby, plus the famous thermal pools a short walk away. After a day outdoors, a soak in the hot springs was a delight. Our accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, including cozy beds and a well-equipped kitchen. The motel is peaceful and very family-friendly. The owner and staff were always helpful and exceptionally friendly, making our stay unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to returning and can warmly recommend Larchwood Motel.
