The rooms look lovely, but I wouldn't choose this place for a longer stay. Our tea container was empty, so we couldn't even make a cup. The WiFi was so difficult to access that we gave up, since we were only there one night and didn't want a repair visit cutting into our short time to relax. The room was very cold. It was described as serviced, but we were also told we had to clean, which was confusing. There was hair all over the floor when we arrived. At this price, you could find a motel or Airbnb with more accessible amenities.

We couldn't make it to the accommodation during the major flooding in New Zealand. The roads were closed, we were stranded without power or communication, and this major weather event affected thousands of people. We contacted the host to explain that we couldn't travel, and provided substantial evidence, but they still insisted on charging the full fee for a stay we couldn't use. We tried contacting the host several times, but they wouldn't budge or offer even a partial refund. I wouldn't recommend a place that shows so little compassion for travelers in a crisis.

It was easy to walk into town, and the mountain views were fantastic. We found it warm and cosy inside, with a BBQ and outdoor activities available. The host gave us a wonderful welcome, and it's a beautifully peaceful place to relax.

Beautiful views and lovely decor, with everything close by. It's a great place to stay, and I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. I'd definitely recommend it.
