Aleada was wonderful and made our visit feel special. This is a clean, convenient little hotel with really lovely people, right in the middle of a charming walking village. The customer service was five star, five diamond. I'd highly recommend staying here if you're nearby.

The Chromecast connection from our phones to the TV was sometimes unstable. I'd prefer a TV with apps such as Netflix or Amazon Prime so we could sign into our own accounts, though this was a small drawback beside an otherwise excellent stay. This was our second visit to Porters Boutique Hotel and Conference Centre, after a great stay exactly a year ago, and it met or perhaps exceeded our expectations. The weekend rate was very reasonable, and the value was excellent. Maia at the front desk deserves a special mention: check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were warm and professional throughout. When I jokingly asked if a discount might be possible, Maia laughed and said she couldn't offer one, then surprised us with a free upgrade to a deluxe room. It was a thoughtful gesture that made a strong impression. After parking, we settled into a spotless, well-equipped room that was calm, comfortable, and easy to use. The beds were so comfortable that we both slept well and woke refreshed. It was a warm day, so I spent time on the room's deck enjoying the sunshine and fresh air in a peaceful setting. Porters remains a standout in Havelock North, with attentive staff, comfortable rooms, a good location, and thoughtful touches. My partner and I had another fantastic stay and will make every effort to return when we're back in town.

The staff were such a bright spot and did everything they could to make the stay special. Our accommodation was stylish, comfortable, and very well cared for. This boutique hotel is a great base for exploring Hawks Bay, with local restaurants close by and plenty to do around the area. Highly recommended.

The air conditioning struggled a little in the summer heat, so I'd take off a star for the rooms on that account. Even so, the service was next level. One staff member brought a trolley to the car park, carried our luggage up, and unpacked and put away the shopping we'd had delivered earlier. We'll definitely stay again next time we're in Hawkes Bay. Highly recommend.

The location put us right in the middle of town. We had a lovely stay, with great service and a spacious room full of nice touches.
