Heritage Highway Motel

The room felt unclean, with a sticky table and a bathroom floor that needed mopping. The fridge was so loud we had to unplug it for our whole stay. The towels and sheets felt cheap and tacky, and the pillows were so thin they gave us no comfort. We both had restless nights. At 9.30am, housekeeping was playing loud music outside the rooms, which would have been hugely frustrating if we hadn't been checking out. It was overpriced for what we got, and we won't stay here again.

I slept amazingly well, and there wasn't much road noise. The location was perfect for walking into town, with plenty of parking. The room was clean, tidy, and had everything I needed. It was a quick, lovely stay, and I'd definitely come back.

The room was clean once I got in, and the beds were comfortable. But arriving around 11:30pm after a long day of driving was stressful. The office was closed, and there were no self check-in instructions. I checked my email, called about four times, left two voicemails, rang the office bell, and knocked several times on the door beside it. Eventually someone came out in pajamas through the private door next to the office. I felt bad waking them, and they didn't seem too happy, but I just needed access to our booked room. The windows were all open, so some bugs had come in. The bathroom needs a fan because shower steam leaves it soaking wet, and I got a slight electric shock when I switched on one of the lights. Otherwise the accommodation was nice and checkout was easy. The office was still closed in the morning, but there was a box for the key.

The location was perfect for us, and the staff were great. We had a wonderful stay with our two children. Even though the motel was fully booked, we couldn't hear the other guests, which was a bonus. The room was clean, and the kids and I loved it. We'd definitely stay again!
