The cottage was just 9 minutes by car from the wedding venue, which made it a handy place to stay for the night. We booked Kumeu Kottage online because my son was getting married at Kumeu Valley Estate on 5th March. When we arrived, we were really impressed with the rooms, amenities and location. A big thank you to the owners, and I’d happily recommend the accommodation.

A lovely lady gave us a ride to the Cafe and then to the wedding we were attending. The little cottage was tidy, and we’d stay there again if we’re ever back in wedding country, Kumeu. 👍

We had plenty of room inside and out, and it’s a charming little cottage for two or three people. Cody, their pet dog, is an absolute gem and loves a cuddle. I’m a big softie with dogs, so that suited me just fine. The hosts were overseas when we arrived, but their house sitter was really nice. For improvements, I’d suggest an electric frypan for cooking and a good spring clean. There were quite a few cobwebs in the kitchen and bedroom blinds. Even so, I’d thoroughly recommend it as a stopover or holiday destination.

It was peaceful and lovely to relax while listening to the birds, and the host was nice. Just one small thing, the bathroom sliding door banged as it moved, especially when the window was open.

The hosts were really friendly and helpful, and the beds were comfortable. Nice selection of breakfast cereal too. A great b and b.
