The sea view is incredible, and there’s a spa and sauna looking out over it too. Our villa was spotless, with a great shower, and the grounds are lovely. There’s a cute cafe with bagels, plus yoga in summer.

We’ve stayed twice and enjoyed both visits. It’s a beautiful setting, and the small campground feels friendly and gets wonderfully quiet at night. We brought our dogs and loved walking on the beach and watching the sunrise. The weekend pop-up cafe’s bagels and coffee were so good!

The main downside was the flying insects that came in through the window overnight. Turning off the lights didn’t help once they were inside, and most seemed to come from the bathroom, where a mesh screen would be useful. Apart from that, we had a lovely four-night stay, with a sunrise each morning and swims at the beach.

The kitchen and dining space, along with the bathrooms, felt cramped for the number of people using them, and our showers had no hot water for some reason. We were camping in our tent just after New Year’s, probably one of the busiest times. The staff were lovely, the cafe was great, and the place has a relaxing focus on health and wellbeing. It’s also right next to where you can book the Reef Ecology Tour.

A tidy, clean little campsite by the coast, with a coffee stand on site. The bathroom facilities are great, though the kitchen needs updating and smelled like old fish when we were there. The beach is very tidal, so swimming is best around high tide; another beach is a short drive away. Passing log trucks on SH35 can be noisy now and then, though that’s not the campsite’s fault. I’d stay again.
