We booked the Karaka (sp?) cottage for 3 nights in February 2026, and it was one of the nicest places we’ve ever stayed. The charming cottage was exceptionally clean and very private, with lots of space, windows, a full kitchen, and an outdoor soaking tub. It was fully stocked with things like eggs from the property's hens, granola, yogurt, coffee, and bread. It sits beside acres and acres of wetlands. We couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable stay.

The inlet view at sunrise was breathtaking, and the cottage had everything we needed: lots of space and full equipment. Breakfast provisions were really tasty, especially the fruit and marmelade. Our 3-night visit was far too short, and we got more than we’d hoped for.

We spent two nights in Miro Cottage and found it peaceful, beautiful, and restful. It had all the equipment needed for a self-sufficient break, and the bed was very comfortable. The estuary view was lovely. I spent quite a while sitting with a book and just looking out. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful estuary, native plants, and bird life all around made this a peaceful little slice of paradise. There are three charming cottages to choose from, and the hosts were lovely.

A peaceful environmental escape, with so much care put into the property's design and aesthetics. I loved all the cabin and verandah furnishings and the investment in local habitat xx
