My sister and I had a great weekend here. The motel is just a minute's walk from the Markets, restaurants, and shops, and the rooms were spotlessly clean with really comfy beds. The hosts were friendly and helpful, and happy to sort out anything we needed. We'll definitely come back. Those stars are well earned! 😁

We had a lovely two-night stay in the executive studio. It was quiet and private, with a BBQ just outside on the private patio, and the bed was super comfy. Fantastic place, and we'd happily stay here again.

It's an easy base for exploring Matakana, with restaurants, bars, and the local supermarket all a short walk away. The grounds are well kept, and although the place has a busy, lively feel, it stays quiet. Staff were welcoming and polite. Matakana Motel is a really nice, handy place to stay.

We booked the studio, family unit, and cabin. The studio was superb, while the family unit was good, though I expected a toddler gate for the steep stairs. The pull-out sofa was pretty rough too. The cabin's really a converted garage, and I thought it was a bit overpriced for what it was. It was equipped quite well, but if you're over six feet tall, good luck.
