The garden is lovely and spacious, and the whole property is peaceful and quiet. Our family really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the shower had fantastic water pressure. Andy, the owner, is awesome, down to earth, and great to talk with. I’d absolutely recommend Tower Road Motel in Matamata.

My studio had everything I needed for a short visit, including plates, utensils, glassware, and a microwave for snacks from the village. The bed was comfortable, too. Friends were getting married at Hobbiton, and it was an easy walk into central Matamata to meet them for the shuttle. The place was so tranquil, with birdsong and just the occasional neigh from a nearby horse. Adam was a friendly and helpful host. A lovely stay all around.

Andy was so accommodating, and really friendly and helpful. The room was nice and clean, and the kitchen had plenty of utensils. I’d stay again.

I was lucky to find this place for our visit to town and the Hobbiton movie set. Andy, the manager and opener, was a great guy. The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Book here if it’s available!

Lovely clean room and great water pressure. It’s quiet and out of town, which worked well for the morning trip to Hobbiton 😁
