Mosgiel Regency Motel

Our son was so excited to sleep in his own “new” bed for the first time away from home. The beds were really comfortable, and the room and bathroom were spotless, with a great shower. The owner greeted us warmly when we arrived and showed us to the room. It was nicely presented and felt welcoming. We had a great stay and would recommend Regency Motel. Thanks to the owners for looking after us so well. We’ll be back.

The unit was lovely and quiet, even with the road nearby. It was already warm when we walked in, and once the rain cleared, sunshine poured in. Everything was clean and had what we needed before our flight back to OZ the next morning. Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and being on the ground floor suited us oldies who struggle with stairs. The bed was heaven, and the price was so reasonable we felt a bit guilty. We made up for it with enough Chinese leftovers to feed them for a week! We left our bags at reception early and went for a quick meal at the pub a few minutes up the road. Woolworths is right across the road, with a grog shop beside the pub and a Chinese restaurant nearby that served the biggest meals we'd ever seen at a great price. Everything was close by. Bronwyn's dog seemed to have separation anxiety and kept stealing her folding from the table to get her attention while she served us. It made for a pretty funny moment. We didn't use the milk in the fridge, but it's been ages since anyone gave us real milk for tea and coffee. Thanks Bronwyn for having us and the laughs!

The room was clean and tidy, and the heat pump was already on when I arrived, so it was nice and warm. My booking hadn't gone through, but the owners got in touch to check whether I still wanted it. They were really helpful and friendly. I'd stay again.

A quiet spot, with a supermarket and bus stop just across the road. The hosts were awesome and the rooms very clean.
