The sunset over the shore was amazing, and we really liked eating outdoors in such peaceful surroundings. There’s a little pool for relaxing or for the kids to play in, plus a BBQ spit you can request. We stayed a week and appreciated having tea, dish detergent and other supplies replenished. A canal runs through the property, giving each unit access to the water, so keep a close watch on young children. We had a wonderful time here.

We only booked one night and immediately wished we could stay longer. Dinner at the on-site restaurant was very nice. Carl at reception welcomed us as soon as we arrived, and Salen, the Manager, was just as friendly when we saw him at the owners’ drinks. We’ll definitely be back.

Our cabin by the lake was huge, with plenty of space for the family, and the scenery was beautiful even though it rained the whole time. We spent two nights here last winter and loved the accommodation. It’s a little out of the way, but I’d love to come back and spend longer in summer.

It’s a little way from the central city, but close enough to local attractions. The place is quiet, restful and has lots of amenities. A really beautiful spot to stay.

The portions were tiny for pasta costing over $30, and the food felt very basic for the price. The seafood pasta was meant to have squid, but they swapped it for bacon and used the same sauce for that and the fettuccine. There was just one chef working. I also paid $14 for a glass of wine that was only half full. I’d avoid the bar and cafe.
