Marineland Motel

Being right across from the beach made it easy to step out for a morning walk, and Napier’s centre was only a short drive away. Marineland Motel had a quiet, personal feel, with enough privacy while still feeling warmly hosted. The indoor pool was a nice surprise after a day out. My room was clean, roomy, and sensibly set up. The kitchenette had what I needed for a longer visit, the bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the extra towels and good lighting. The staff were welcoming as soon as I arrived and made me feel at home with their genuine helpfulness. I only wish I’d booked more nights. Marineland Motel gave me a comfortable stay by the sea, and I’d rate it an easy 10/10.

I loved being able to take a morning walk by the beach just across the road. The unit’s front and rear entrances also gave a choice of harbour or seaside feel. My Executive Studio was roomy and sunny, with a huge king bed, a pull-out couch, and a kitchenette with a microwave, stovetop, and crockery that worked well for light meals. Housekeeping kept everything spotless. The spa tub in the bathroom was a great way to unwind after exploring Napier. The motel is near the water and restaurants and conveniences, but still peaceful, with no road noise bothering us. The staff were warm at arrival, made check-in easy, and shared helpful suggestions for cafés, walks, and sights. Marineland Motel in Westshore, Napier was comfortable and good value. I’d happily return and recommend it as a relaxing base.

After a long trip, we arrived to find the hotel charging much more than the lower price I’d been quoted when I called ahead. The change caused stress and wasted our time, and I didn’t find it fair or professional. I strongly suggest getting the price confirmed in writing before travelling, so you don’t run into the same problem.

Marine Land Motel in Napier was in a great spot by the beach, with cafés and attractions nearby. It was still quiet at night. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well equipped, and the staff made us feel welcome. A comfortable, hassle-free stay, highly recommend!
