The bay view from the house on top of the hill was spectacular, and the room and bed were very comfortable with more than complete amenities. Philip was a gracious, wonderful host, and one of the best we've met on our travels. He made delicious bread for us the night before. We felt welcome from the start. He was friendly and flexible even when we had to cut our trip from two nights to one, and came out to the road to guide us to the house and help with our luggage. We were rushing off to Abel Tasman and I left my PC charger behind. Philip went out of his way to call our tour so they could pass the message on, then made himself available so we could collect it that evening. Thank you, Philip. We'd definitely stay with him again in Nelson. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at the B&B, with hospitality beyond what we expected and fresh bread each morning at breakfast. Philip offered to drive us to meet our tours, and the deck at his home has a panoramic ocean view. Check with Philip before booking, as getting around the property involves quite a few steps.
