The bay views and sunsets were beautiful, and getting to Auckland took only 15 minutes by ferry after a two-minute walk. Joy also showed us around the Devonport community on her lovely guided outings, and Howard brought roses with breakfast. Joy and Howard, the owners of Admirals Landing, made the week feel like being at home. We loved our whole week with them!

Right outside the house there was parking, and the ferry to Auckland was an easy walk. The rooms were basic but clean and had what we needed, and breakfast was very good. This was our first stop on a road trip. The owners were so welcoming, explained the town and its history, and the owner even offered to show us around the little town.

Free parking was useful, and being right by Devonport harbor made getting into central Auckland easy. The host couple were kind, gentle people, and looked after us attentively throughout our stay. Breakfast was far better than at other B&Bs we've visited, especially the crispy bacon and croissants. They happily tried to meet our requests and answer our questions, did our laundry at no charge, and left fruit and juice in the fridge when we mentioned our early flight on the last day. I'd definitely stay at this B&B again if I get back to Auckland.
